As St. Michael's uniform does not include a stitched logo, items can be purchased from high street stores or the National Schoolwear Centre on Nelson Street in Denton Holme.

Labelling Clothes

PLEASE can we ask that you label all items of clothes clearly. Stitched in labels are the most effective as these do not fade or peel off. Shoes and gym shoes should also be named.
If items do go missing, the Lost Property box is situated in the photo-copying room next to the office.

Ties, Book Bags, Sun Hats and Water Bottles

Children should also use a book bag (infants) for transporting books, reading records, newsletters, dinner money and so on between school and home. These are available from the school office for £3.

Most juniors like to use a rucksac or similar type of bag of their own choice.

School ties and water bottles can also be purchased from the school office for £3 and £2 respectively.

Book bags, sun hats and P.E. bags bearing the school logo are also available from the school office. Book bags cost £5 each and sun hats and PE bags cost £3 each.

P.E. Kit

Our P.E. kit consists of a pale blue P.E. t-shirt with logo (available to buy from school at £5.50), navy blue shirts, a school hoodie with logo (also available from and suitable trainers. Hoodies cost £12 up to size 7-8 and £15 for all larger sizes.

The P.E. shirt and hoodie:

Please note, hoodies are NOT replacements for the jumpers or cardigans that are worn in class. They are to be worn for P.E. or when representing the school at various sporting events and can also be worn on visits and trips with the school.

Summer Uniform

After the Easter holidays, ties can be removed and white polo shirts worn instead of the more formal shirt.

Girls may wear blue and white gingham dresses and boys (and girls) may wear grey shorts.

Footwear should remain 'sensible' - some sandals can be difficult to run in for instance.
